Notice of Bid - Janitorial Services, June 30, 2023 - July 1, 2026

CITY OF TRENTON

Wayne County, Michigan

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS


Sealed proposals for Janitorial Services, will be received by the City of Trenton, Michigan, in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 2800 Third Street, Trenton, Michigan 48183 until 10:00 AM local time Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read, provided three (3) bids are received.

The contract consists of janitorial services for the following city buildings:

1. City Hall

2. Police Station and Jail

3. Library

4. Westfield Building

5. Public Service Building

6. Wastewater Treatment Plant

Bid documents may be obtained through the State of Michigan (MITN) web site or through the City of Trenton's web site (Trenton-mi.org). Bid Documents may also be obtained from the office of the City Clerk, at 2800 Third Street, Trenton, MI 48183.

The Proposal must be properly made out on the forms included with the applications. A certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Trenton, Michigan in an amount equal to five percent (5.00%) of the bid, (the annual amount for the first year of the contract for each building), shall be submitted with each bid. Separate bids may be made for each facility. This amount shall be forfeited to the City of Trenton by the accepted bidder upon their failure to enter into a contract with the City within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. The bid bond and/or certified check will be returned to all bidders after the award of the contract.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled at 12:30 PM local time, Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the Trenton City Hall Caucus Room located on the 2nd floor. The purpose of the meeting is to explain this project, tour the buildings and answer questions regarding the bidding documents and the project. Failure to attend the pre-bid meeting will not disqualify a bidder from submitting a bid.

All submitted bids shall remain firm for sixty (60) days and shall not be withdrawn by the contractor once submitted. The City of Trenton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities therein, when such waiver is in the interest of the City of Trenton, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder.
