NOTICE OF COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR 2022 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

 

Notice is hereby given that the County of Wayne has completed a draft of the 2022 Annual Action Plan for its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Programs. Prior to submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a draft of the 2022 Annual Action Plan with pre-commitment of funds is available for public review and comment for a 30-day period from May 27, 2022 through June 27, 2022. HUD offers these program grants to develop viable communities that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities for low and moderate income persons.  Wayne County anticipates receiving approximately $5,250,312 in CDBG funds, $3,122,427 in HOME funds, and $478,242 in ESG funds.

Wayne County will conduct a public hearing to afford the opportunity for input to be recorded on the updated 2022 Annual Action Plan for CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs for the Program Year 2022. The Wayne County Community Development Public Hearings will be held on June 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Guardian Building, 6th   Floor Conference Room, 500 Griswold Street, Detroit, MI 48226. The public is invited to attend and comment at the public hearing or to make written comments.
