ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed proposals for 2019 Sanitary Sewer Cleaning & TV Inspections, Contract Number 2019-02, will be received by the City of Trenton, Michigan in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 2800 Third Street, Trenton, Michigan 48183 until 10:00 AM local time Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read, provided three (3) bids are received.
The project consists primarily of the following approximate lengths of Sewer Cleaning & Televising with Preparation of PACP Compliant Inspection Reports and Video Files:

15,000 + Linear feet of 12" - 15" diameter pipe
200 + Linear feet of 60" diameter pipe (at Waste Water Treatment Plant)
100 + Linear feet of 84" diameter pipe (at Waste Water Treatment Plant)


Bid documents may be obtained through the State of Michigan (MITN) web site after 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 22, 2019. Bid Documents may also be viewed at the Office of the City Engineer, 2800 Third St, Trenton, Michigan during this time period.
The Accepted Bidder will be required to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid Price.
The Proposal must be properly made out on the forms included with the applications. A certified or cashier's check or bid bond (issued by a bonding company licensed in the State of Michigan) payable to the City of Trenton, Michigan in an amount equal to five percent (5.00%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. This amount shall be forfeited to the City of Trenton by the accepted bidder upon their failure to enter into a contract with the City within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. The bid bond and/or certified check will be returned to all bidders after the award of the contract. All quantities are estimated, the owner reserves the right to increase or decrease any of the quantities with no adjustment in unit price.
All submitted bids shall remain firm for ninety (90) days and shall not be withdrawn by the contractor once submitted. The City of Trenton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities therein, when such waiver is in the best interest or benefit of the City of Trenton, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder.
