Beaumont Gets Walking is introducing the Carrot App as a way to keep you walking your way to health. Download the app on your phone and it will set your personal, individualized walking goal based on your walk history. Earn gold coins with every step that can be used to enter prize drawings. Healthy Trenton has once again partnered with St. Paul Lutheran Church for the 2018 Healthy Trenton Run and Wellness Expo. The event offers something for all ages and all fitness levels. The Trenton Civic Commission and Parks and Recreation have once again teamed up to kick-off the holiday season in a big way with the annual "Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony." Stroll downtown and welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Trenton. The downtown streets will be all aglow with hand-held candles illuminating the parade route. The Parade begins at 6 p.m. Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, all are invited to Trenton City Hall for the Parade afterglow and awards.

Annually, the Trenton Civic Commission recognizes outstanding Trenton citizens for their contribution to our community. Awards are bestowed at the annual City Award's Banquet. This year's event will be held at the beautifully restored, Chateau on the River, located in Elizabeth Park. A variety of award categories are available. The Trenton Civic Commission invites you to nominate residents worthy of such honors. The award categories include: Trentonite of the Year, Good Neighbor of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Outstanding Woman and Man, Outstanding Trenton Youth and Charlie Brown, which recognizes an individual that has contributed their time and energy to benefit the young athletes of our community.

Get Ready! The City of Trenton and the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League will be combining efforts for the 18th consecutive year to bring you the 19th Annual MIHL Prep Hockey Showcase. The Top 42 High School Hockey Teams in the Mid-West including teams from Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana will show what hockey is all about.

Over three days, each team will play two games and showcase their talents in front of the best professional, college and junior hockey scouts. This event is possible by tremendous community support and we are always looking to add to our volunteer base. Call (734) 676-7172 for more information.
