It's the Roar on the River at Elizabeth Park. The weekend kicks off with "A Taste of the Races" followed by live music on the riverfront. Saturday, experience world-class power boat racing followed by a FREE, live concert that evening. The fun continues on Sunday  with racing finals. Sponsored by PNC Bank and organized by Trenton Rotary, in cooperation with Wayne County Parks and the City of Trenton.

Join Wayne County Parks for seven hours of classic Motown music at beautiful Elizabeth Park in Trenton. The concert is free but there is a $5 parking donation.

Join your friends and family at the Kennedy Aquatic Center for a fun and memorable experience! Our Dive-In Movie Nights are family friendly and provide patrons the exciting opportunity to swim while watching a movie on the big screen!

Pool Deck Games start at 5:00 PM (games are free)
Movie starts at 9:00 PM (approx. 2 hours long)


Resident Entry: $5.00/person
Non-Resident Entry: $7.00/person
Children 4 & Under: FREE
Popcorn: $1.00


Q: Are floats/rafts/inner tubes allowed?
A: For the safety of all patrons, we prohibit the use of floats. Lifeguards require full visibility of patrons at all times. This can be exceptionally difficult at night.
Q: Can we bring our own lawn chairs?
A: No. We provide lounge chairs, picnic tables and plenty of seating area for patrons.
Q: Will the Dive-In Movie be rescheduled due to inclement weather?
A: Yes. If the Dive-In Movie is cancelled, we will announce a future rain date on our Facebook Page.
Q: If I purchased a Kennedy Aquatic Membership, do I have to pay an extra fee?
A: No. If you purchased a current year Kennedy Aquatic Membership, you may enter the pool as normal. There are no additional entry fees.
Q: Will the movie be played on the pool deck or in the parking lot?
A: Dive-In Movies are displayed on a large blow-up screen on our pool deck. Normal entry fee or Kennedy Aquatic Membership is required to attend the Dive-In Movie.
Q: Can outside food be brought in?
A: No. Outside food must be disposed of prior to entering the Kennedy Aquatic Center. Our Concession Stand will be open for food and snack purchases. Popcorn will be available for $1.00 and will be the only food item exception allowed on the pool deck.
Q: Are vehicles able to drive onto the pool deck?
A: No. Vehicles are prohibited on the pool deck and must be parked in the parking lot. Plenty of parking space is available along with handicap accessible spaces. The Dive-In Movie cannot be viewed from the parking lot.
Q: Will the pool be open to the public prior to the Dive-In Movie?
A: Yes, the pool will open at regular time for public swim throughout the day.
Q: If I'm already at the pool, do I have to exit and re-enter for the Dive-In Movie?
A: Patrons who have already paid to enter the pool will not have to exit and re-enter to join the event.
Q: Why does the Dive-In Movie start so late?
A: Due to sunset hours, the movie must be played at a later time for clear viewing capability on the big screen.

Turn back the hands of time in historic Elizabeth Park and recapture the essence of the Park as it was in years gone by through old time entertainment, old fashioned games, bake sale, children's area and a Vintage Inspired Arts and Crafts Market. Reminisce about yesteryear as you cruise the Detroit River aboard the "Diamond Belle" Riverboat. Stroll down memory lane while taking a leisurely walk through automotive time featuring antique and classic cars dating back to the Model T. Celebrate this carefree, bygone era. It's a history lesson worth living. Sponsored in cooperation with Wayne County Parks.

  • A $10.00 listing fee places your address on the city map, listing your items for sale.
  • Balloons and 8 ½ x 11 garage sale signs are available for pick-up only at Kennedy Recreation Center.
  • Week of the garage sale, a copy of the map will be mailed to all participants for proofing. Any address corrections or item additions must be made by Thursday prior to the sale.
  • Treasure hunters can purchase Garage Sale Maps for $1.00 on:
    Friday inside Kennedy Recreation Center &
    Saturday, 7:30 am - 1:00 pm at the Kennedy Aquatic Center entry booth.
